Motivation

Empower yourself to work with student motivation

We have created a workshop on motivation based on Vincent Tinto’s theoretical framework. The aim is to help you as an educator to better support student motivation

Motivating students is one of the greatest challenges instructors faces. While it is true that as instructors, we have little, if any, control over external factors that influence our students' behavior and engagement, we do play a vital role in shaping what occurs in our classroom. In fact, our instructional choices can make a positive impact on student motivation (Tinto, 2017).

Below is a Tips & Tricks version of our motivation workshop framework. You can click through it on your own time. Use it to reflect on your teaching and get inspired to where you can make changes to better support student motivation.

We will be happy to facilitate the workshop for you and your colleagues, contact DTU Learning Lab to hear more.
