Who can apply?
- Can PhD students/fellows apply?
Generally, no. This course is intended for teaching staff with more seniority, not PhD students/fellows. You can still apply if you think you match the profile in other ways. We might consider your application if you already have some teaching experience, and are expected to teach innovation to students within 6 Months after completing the course. - Can non-academic staff apply?
This course is not intended for non-academic staff. If, however, you work at a university and your profile otherwise fits quite well, we might consider enrolling you if we have an open spot. - Can staff from the private sector or NGOs apply?
Generally, no. If, however, your profile otherwise fits quite well, we might consider enrolling you if we have an open spot. We cannot make any promises, though. - What are "related fields"? Can staff from other types of educational institutions apply?
The course is primarily aimed at academic staff who teach university students in engineering, STEM, and related fields. If you teach in field related to engineering and STEM you can apply. As mentioned, we will select the applicants that fit the profile more closely. We might reach out to you, if we need more information. - Can academic staff from non-EU countries apply?
Yes, people from EFTA countries and the UK, as well as partner universities in the COPILOT project.
Application process
- What if I don't meet all the requirements?
It depends. We will select those who match the requirements the most. However, if we have open places in the course, we might consider you. We can't make any promises, however. - What counts as innovation related content?
Preferably, courses, projects and even extracurricular activities with a Human-Centred Innovation, Design Thinking or similar innovation activities. It could also be design activities, where students do user research and/user tests. Furthermore, it could be Problem-Based Learning (PBL) or Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) activities, if students have some freedom to identify, formulate, and develop their own problems and solutions. - Why do I have to motivate my application?
We have a limited number of places in this course, so we want to prioritise those who are genuinely interested. - Why do I have to submit so much information?
This will help us select those applicants who fits the profile the most. We will delete all your information when we no longer need it.
